Join local artist and Shirley Hannan National Portrait Prize finalist Özlem Güler in an introduction to drawing with charcoal and pencil. Basic concepts and practice will be introduced to enable you to continue this medium at home with confidence. No experience needed, you will be guided in setting up, use of materials, understanding shapes, light and shadow. In this 2-hour workshop, you’ll be supported to test materials, practicing lines, 3D shapes and shading to produce 1-2 drawings to take home. Handouts will be provided.
