SECCA Sketch: Open Drawing sessions

Come along after work, meet your friends, and develop your creative skills with SECCA Sketch: Open drawing sessions, as part of SECCA Open Late every second Thursday this summer.

Visit the gallery after-hours and draw on inspiration from the Shirley Hannan National Portrait Award to sit and sketch. In the tradition of the Old Masters, enjoy an exploration of human emotion, light and form as you embrace the opportunity to put pencil to paper in situ and study the range of portrait approaches from all of the exhibition finalists.

These sessions are untutored open drawing, suitable for all interested in developing their skills in foundational drawing.

Basic materials are provided. These sessions are included with exhibition entry.

Limited spaces available.

5.30pm – 8pm on Thursdays:

5 December 2024

19 December 2024

2 January 2025

30 January 2025

Included in exhibition ticket entry, available over the counter at SECCA or for more info email secca@begavalley.nsw.gov.au
