This summer holidays, join us at SECCA for a 3 day program of Comic & Zine-making workshops including sessions with guest artists from published illustration, character design, graphic story telling and illustration. Work by participants will be featured at the new SECCA project space.

The tutors –

Melbourne based Mandy Ord is a comics artist, a cartoonist, an illustrator, a speaker and teacher of comics, a greengrocer, and a disability support worker. Her most recent graphic non-fiction novel When One Person Dies The Whole World Is Over was published under Brow Books in February 2019. @mandylouord

Stan Squire is an artist living and working in Pambula, NSW. Known for his graphic and illustrative style and his depiction of surf culture and the coastal landscape of South East NSW. Stan published a childrens book, Bobs Bedtime Stories, in 2018. He was the winner of the Basil Sellers Award in 2014. @stansquire

Ocean Thomas is an emerging voice in the graphic novel scene and publishes comics under the pseudonym OTcomix. Centrelink Corby has sold strongly through local channels in his home town of Pambula/Merimbula. @otcomix

Maxwell Arch is an exciting Canberra based illustrator, animator, pixel artist, graphic designer and previous Funhouse Young Resident Artist (YRA). @artfromthearch
